I’m not one of those let’s dress up the dog type pet owners, but the nights do get cold here. See, I have two pups that I wanted to make sure were kept warm because I typically don’t run heat unless it's really really needed. One has fine hair that is long, but not that long or too dense. The other has short compact hair. Neither bulk up like my other dog who has an undercoat, so this is why I went and got sweaters. As a good consumer whore, I first looked online to get ideas. Since I knew that PetSmart carried, I checked out its selection. I saw some stuff, and thought that since I need to buy dog food anyway I would buy for sake of convenience. Well, this turned a bit more complicated than I had expected.

See, the sweaters failed to indicate how to measure. Meaning, what size to buy. My PetSmart store is always hit and miss when it comes to finding someone to help. So instead of trying to hunt down an employee, I used common sense. I bought two acrylic sweaters that ran $11.99 each after the 40% discount. Great I thought that was until I went into that large chain retailer Walmart who we all hate to proclaim let alone say we shop. Being a due diligent shopper I checked the pet department to see if it carried dog sweaters.

How stupid I was to not think it would. The added beauty was that the packaging indicated how to measure plus the cost was only $4.97 per sweater. Whipping out my phone, I called my other half to measure the two sweater bound dogs. I bought two sweaters with 100% size confidence, and returned the first two I bought.
The lesson here is to not buy the first thing you see because of convenience, but to check alternate mass chain retailers because I bought in the end two acrylic dog sweaters for 17% less than the cost of just one from PetSmart.
